Probably one of the best things that CGI (fine, let’s insert Michael Bay as well) has ever bestowed upon my life would be Transformers being made into a movie (movies). I’ve watched the animation waaay back when I was a kid (the original animation not the “recent” one) and I think, or at least I would like to believe that it’s one of the shows that made me a mecha-lover (that plus Ninja Robots and Voltes V). When the first movie came out and I saw the trailer I was like holy shit. DROOL.
Transformers looked sooooo good. Gotta have them all! When I found out that Revoltech (Kaiyodo) did Transformers…OMFG. Bumblebee has always been my favorite so obviously I would possess (buy) him/it first. I got this at around $52 from the States, about Php 300 less than the one sold locally. I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! I’M SO IN LOVE WITH IT! I DON’T CARE ABOUT THE LITTLE PROBLEMATIC THINGS IT HAS…I LOOOOVE IT.
But seeing as I’ve mentioned ‘problems’ here are my problems with it:
- I find it a bit “gelatinous?” With online pictures, I thought it was hard plastic or something, but in person, it’s mostly if not wholly made of rubber or something. The rubbery soft body does force you to take your time in posing it, positioning the joints right, stabilizing it and stuff. I would love it even more if it was made of harder material… (personal preference).
- The color is too yellow-orange for my liking. I think it would look way better if it’s a bit more yellow or at least a shade brighter/lighter.
- The armor thingies kind of obstructed movement of the elbows-arms and hips too (depends on the angle though, ahaha).
Regardless of the above ‘problems’ I love this little darling. The details are AMAZING, suffice to say, the details REALLY give justice to the awesomeness of Transformers. Accessories are awesome as well, like the helmet-mask thing of Bumblebee (didn’t take a photo of it) when he’s going to go all martial arts-y, the extra hands and the gun/blaster/pistons whatevers. ARTICULATION is WOW, especially in the knees (in my opinion). 
This is super worth the buy. Worth every stinking dollar! I’m going to buy me Optimus Prime soon. Revoltech should consider doing Decepticons. I would love to have a cape-using Megatron on display.
